Penn State Football and Iowa are in the midst of the national conversation as the Big Ten’s strong season continues

The Big Ten is once again making headlines in college football, as five teams rank inside the top 11 of the AP Top 25 Poll.

While four of the teams reside the in the East division, the highest ranked team is the West division favorite Iowa, who ranks third in the poll.

Iowa will face the second highest ranked Big Ten team, Penn State Football, this weekend in one of the biggest regular season matchups the Big Ten has seen in years.

While those two teams will steal the show this weekend, there are numerous other dangerous team in this conference as well. Let’s see where they all stand:

Previous: 14th. Fighting Illini . 14. team. 807. . 2-4 (1-2)

Illinois stopped their four-game losing streak on Saturday, with a 24-14 win over Charlotte.

Running back Chase Brown had a huge game, rushing for 257 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. On defense, defensive end Owen Carney Jr. had two sacks and helped hold Charlotte to just 81 rushing yards.

This was a nice bounce-back game for the Fightin’ Illini, who desperately needed to experience a win again. They may have found something offensively with Brown, who had been quiet for much of the year before this game.

Considering they played Charlotte, it’s hard to put much stock into this one. Things this aren’t looking good for Illinois bowl chances, but this team is in a rebuild and will take any win they can get.
