State College, Pa, home of No. 4 ranked Penn State Football is a finalist to be named as America’s greatest college football town

State College is a finalist to be named the Best College Football Town!

State College, Pennsylvania defeated Morgantown, West Virginia in one semifinal, and is facing a classic Big Ten Conference vs Southeastern Conference showdown.

Didn’t the Nittany Lions just win one of these a few weeks ago?

State College takes on famed Baton Rouge, Louisiana, home to the Lousiana State (LSU) Tigers.

With three days left in the poll and already almost 15,000 votes, State College holds a healthy 67 percent to 33 percent lead over Baton Rouge!

These two titans of the college football world have defeated some great cities already, like Morgantown listed above and famed Madison, Wisconsin.  What makes each of these finalist towns so exceptional?

When comparing towns, the competition is technically the towns itself but without a solid college football program with a winning tradition, the town can’t even come close in this competition.

We know about Penn State’s history, but LSU ain’t no slouch either.

The Tigers have three national championships in the last twenty years alone and are 16th in in most wins overall (Penn State is 9th).

But, can the mouthwatering cajun food and their own monikered valley (Death Valley) overcome The Corner Room of Happy Valley?

Vote now to give the famed SEC another loss to the B1G.
