The Rutgers hype train headed to Michigan this past Saturday, and although they lost 20-13, they only lost 20-13.

Playing at the Big House with a packed crowd isn’t easy and the Scarlet Knights handled themselves well. Despite facing a 20-3 halftime deficit, they battled back and the offense had multiple chances to tie the game.

The offense is nothing to write home about, Noah Vedral went 18-31 passing for 156 yards and a touchdown, while Isaih Pacheco had a 100-yard day on the ground, but it’s clear they still lack some athletes on the outside and depth on the line.

The defense has been super strong for this team, giving up just 13.5 points per game and 263 yards of total offense per game. Michigan didn’t fair that much better than the other teams Rutgers faced as they managed just 275 yards of offense.

Rutgers has a huge game this week as Ohio State comes to town. The Scarlet Knights will look to play spoiler, but at least showing you belong on the same field as the Buckeyes will impress many people. This team has a legit shot at a bowl berth.
