Northwestern crushed Ohio, as expected on Saturday, 35-6.

It was a feel-good game for the Wildcats, especially after their comeback fell short against Duke the week prior.

The defense seemed to build off of their success in the second half against Duke, as they held Ohio to six points and forced three turnovers. They did allow 348 yards of offense, which seems like a lot for only six points on the scoreboard, but the turnovers and penalties killed the Bobcats.

Running back Evan Hull had a monster day with 216 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Hilinski started at quarterback for Northwestern and went 12-20 for just 88 yards. If you’re wondering where last week’s hero, Andrew Marty  is, well he suffered a shoulder injury either during the Duke game or sometime this past week and is expected to be out a while.

That’s a big blow, as Marty looked to be the spark this team was missing. Northwestern now heads to Nebraska, which feels like a must win game for both teams if they have bowl game aspirations.
