Carter Starocci
Record: 33-2
Preseason Rank: 1
2021 NCAA Champion

As much as I would like to toot my own horn regarding the incredible season Carter Starocci had last season, nowhere in my wildest dreams did I think he would bring home the title at 174.

And I’ve been known to make some BOLD predictions.

Last year was a learning experience for myself and for the entire Penn State fan base regarding Starocci. Which is, do not under any circumstance doubt Carter Starocci.

Cael Sanderson believes in him, the team believes in him, and more importantly Starocci believes in himself. Hopefully he’ll be able to start this season exactly how the prior season ended. Which is in the center of the mat with his hand raised.

Onto the next starter.
