Penn State Basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry added to the Nittany Lions’ stable of bigs in the 2022 class

Penn State Basketball adds a three star center to their 2022 haul as we wait for next week’s decision from Otega Oweh.

Demetrius Lilley plays at Lower Merion High School (yes, Kobe’s high school) and hails from Ardmore, Pennsylvania.  He is a consensus three star recruit and ranked the 40th best center in the state of Pennsylvania.

This was likely Penn State Basketball’s back-up plan since Dereck Lively announced his decision to attend Duke University.  Never forget that time when Penn State Basektball was recruting aginst Duke and Kentucky…

Lilley was also recruited by Bryant, St. Joes, Lasalle along with Maryland and Texas A&M.  He brings a 6’10” 230 pound frame to the Nittany Lions and fills an important position of need as John Harrar will play his final year of basketball this year and former backup center Abdou Tsimbila transferred from the program.

Lilley will join a historic first recruiting class for new head coach Micah Shrewsberry.  Kanye Clary, Evan Mahaffey and four star Jameel Brown have already committed to the Nittany Lions for the class of 2022.

If highly coveted target Otega Oweh commits to Penn State next week (yes, that Oweh, Odafe Oweh’s younger brother), even the most harsh critic of Micah Shrewsberry has to be impressed with his first full recruiting class.
