What is the significance of this win? It was James Franklin’s first road win over a ranked opponent as head coach of the Nittany Lions.

Noah Cain had arguably his best came of his career so far, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Robert Windsor was excellent defensively for the Nittany Lions with 6 total tackles, including 1.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, and also 2 QB hurries.

The Nittany Lions were able to march into Kinnick Stadium, which is a very difficult place for opposing teams to play, and come out with a 17-12 win over the 17th ranked Hawkeyes.
