Taking a look at the upcoming 2021-2022 Penn State Wrestling schedule
Penn State Wrestling just released their schedule for the upcoming 2021-2022 season, and after having a B1G only schedule last year, it’s nice to see a full schedule with a mixture of new opponents and some familiar faces.

A couple items to note regarding the upcoming schedule for Penn State.
The season kicks off in Manheim PA where the Nittany Lions are set to compete in the Journeyman Duals against Oregon State and Sacred Heart University. Oregon State comes in as the preseason No. 24 ranked team in the country and they have six wrestlers ranked in the top 25. Hopefully this will be a good early season test for the newly revamped Nittany Lion roster.
Later in 2021, Penn State will hit the road down to Niceville FL where they will compete in the Collegiate Wrestling Duals. This is a multi-team competition which will take place on December 20 and December 21. As of the writing of this, details are rather fuzzy and unfortunately I don’t have a full list of the participants.
Penn State hosts it’s first dual meeting of the season in Rec Hall against Army on November 18 and they are set to host Indiana for the first B1G home dual on January 9.
It appears that late January is going to be the toughest stretch for the Nittany Lions as they will have to go on the road against Michigan (January 21), Michigan State (January 23), and Iowa (January 28) for three straight B1G duals.
The 2021-2022 schedule also includes a dual meet in the Bryce Jordan Center. This time it’s set for Penn State to host Ohio State on Friday evening (February 4). I’m sure nothing of note or nothing exciting will happen that night.
All in all Penn State is set to host seven dual meets at home and set to participate in two multi-team duals over the course of the season.
