Penn State Footballs massive 28-20 win over Auburn has put the college football playoff on their radar

Penn State Football picked up another huge victory this past weekend, taking down Auburn 28-20 for their second ranked win in only three games.

With victories at Wisconsin and over Auburn, the No. 6 Nittany Lions boast one of the best resume’s in all of college football, and it is starting to get the attention of the national media.

Stewart Mandel who covers college football from a national perspective for The Athletic released his College Football Playoff and New Years six projections after Week 3, and Penn State Football fans might be quite excited with where he has them headed.

Mandel has Penn State Football headed down  to the Orange Bowl, the site of a college football playoff semi-final to take on Alabama. He has Alabama as the no. 2 seed and the Nittany Lions at no. 3.

He cites that division and conference races are wide open at the moment and it would be safe to assume that in regards to the Big Ten, he sees Ohio State as vulnerable and thinks Penn State Football can travel to Columbus in October and know off the Buckeyes.

Our Prediction for Penn State Football’s bowl destination

Penn State Football has collected two of the more impressive wins in the country thus far, taking down Wisconsin and Auburn, and is set up now to accomplish everything they hope to.

And Penn State Football fans should be dreaming of a playoff spot.

They do still have to travel to Iowa and Ohio State, and although both of those teams are flawed, those are tough road trips.

For now, I will stick with my preseason bowl projection of a trip to Pasadena and the Rose Bowl.

That projection sticks FOR NOW, as a win in Iowa in a few weeks could alter the perception of this team even further.

Hot. Penn State grades, MVP from win over Auburn. light
