Not only is the contest Penn State’s Big Ten East division opener, but also a revenge game following a heartbreaking Week 1 overtime loss on a controversial call that opened a disappointing 2020 campaign.

The last time Penn State and Indiana faced off, officials ruled that Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix Jr. had stretched out to get the ball across the pylon for the game-winning touchdown in a 36-35 overtime victory.

Penn State’s loss torpedoed the Nittany Lions’ season, as head coach James Franklin’s squad lost their first five games, prior to rattling off a four-game winning streak.

The Nittany Lions have now won seven consecutive games, including top-25 victories on the road at Wisconsin and against Auburn through the first three weeks of an unbeaten start to 2021.

Meanwhile, Indiana is off to a 1-2 start, and has already lost a conference game to Iowa, 34-6 back in Week 1.

Undoubtedly, Penn State Football’s fans, during the annual stripe out game, will aim to boost the Lions to a revenge victory.
