Former Penn State Football WR Allen Robinson busted out of a Week 1 slump, catching a touchdown pass from Andy Dalton, at Soldier Field

After a disappointing Week 1 of the NFL season, former Penn State Football wide receiver Allen Robinson broke out in a big way for the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon.

With 10:00 remaining in the first quarter of the Bears’ Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago quarterback Andy Dalton rolled out, and fired a pass into an insanely tight window to Robinson, who went full-extension to pull down the touchdown catch.

while Robinson’s reception was impressive, his celebration seemed to let out the frustration from his season-opening 35-yard performance against the Los Angeles Rams.

Robinson faked punting the ball into the seats, before spinning it and celebrating with his teammates, after hauling in his first touchdown reception of the season.

The Bears need Robinson to be a focal point of the offense, whether it is Dalton or first-round rookie Justin Fields behind center.

Robinson is playing under the franchise tag for the second consecutive season, and continuing to stack performances like Sunday will certainly boost his value on the open-market this offseason — be it the Bears paying their top receiver like a top receiver, or another team adding a game-altering weapon.
