Penn State Basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry added a four-star commit to the Nittany Lions’ recruiting class

Micah Shrewsberry’s recruiting prowess is at it again as he used his Indiana roots to secure the highest ranked big man in Penn State Basketball history.

Kebba Njie, a 6’8″ 205 pound center from La Porta, Indiana choose the Nittany Lions over Butler and Kansas State. The four star center is playing his senior year at La Lumiere High School.

While four star target Otega Oweh and five star Dereck Lively are declaring next week, Njie is a crucial component to the Nittany Lions recruiting class, filling a position of need. While he’ll certainly need to add to his frame to play center in the Big Ten, the 17th ranked center in the nation is a huge get for Penn State (and an important insurance

policy

when Lively inevitably chooses a Basketball blue blood).

Njie joins three star guard Kanye Clary, three star forward Evan Mahaffey and four star guard Jameel Brown in Micah Shrewsberry’s first recruiting class. Before today’s signing, Penn State already had a top 20 recruiting class in the nation and will likely move into the top 15, at least for now. Where will things finish? Keep checking back here for #Livelywatch and #Owehwatch next week.

While this year could still be a lean one, things are shaping up for the 2022-2023 season. Get excited folks! And beat Auburn! WE ARE
