Penn State Football’s annual White Out game pits two college football blue bloods as the No. 10 Nittany Lions host No. 22 Auburn at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night

What it will take for Penn State Football to beat the Tigers and Auburn’s biggest key to beating the Nittany Lions in the ‘great show in college sports’, the Penn State Whiteout?

There is one simple key for both Penn State Football and Auburn to win Saturday’s primetime showdown, and we will look at those key’s in this week’s “We Win If, They Win If” column.

Last week, we’re claiming victory on our prognostication, that’s 2-0 on the year.

While John Lovett didn’t get a carry for Penn State, the Nittany Lions rushed the ball well throughout the fame and Ball State’s Justin Hall was virtually non-existant in the game.

Here are Penn State Football’s and Auburn’s biggest keys to victory

Auburn wins if …

Bo Nix doesn’t turn the ball over and throw for 225+ yards

Auburn has the horses to run the ball and, of course, that vaunted SEC speed (remember, it just matters more).

But, it’s all going to come down to their quarterback versus Penn State Football’s stellar secondary led by Jaquan Brisker.

This is Nix’s third year as a starter for the Auburn Tigers in a career that’s been mostly up and donw.  Auburn will get their yards on the ground, and it’s possible they’ll try to just win with Nix as caretaker.

For Auburn to win, Nix will need to actually win the game through the air, not just avoid turnovers.
