2-0 . Previous: 12th. Boilermakers . 10. team. 848.

The Boilermakers offense came to play once again, dropping 49 points on UCONN on Saturday.

While UCONN is a mess right now, this was a good win for a Purdue squad looking to make some noise in the West. David Bell is probably the most underrated player in the conference, and the star receiver had himself a day with six catches for 121 yards and three scores.

This air attack is hitting on all cylinders right now and quarterback Jack Plummer is having a great start to the year with a 74% completion rate, 558 passing yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions.

There’s still some unknown with the Purdue defense and this clearly wasn’t a game to get a good read on them with how bad UCONN is. Pass rush may be a concern, as they didn’t record a single sack against a below average UCONN offensive line.

Next week will tell us a lot about this team though, as they head to South Bend to face Notre Dame. The Irish have not looked great so far, so expect David Bell and company to give them all they can handle.
