Don’t look now, but the Cornhuskers have won two straight.

Nebraska made quick work of Buffalo, beating them 28-3. Quarterback Adrian Martinez did it all, picking up 242 yards and two touchdowns through the air, and added 112 yards on the ground.

If Nebraska is going to have any hopes of competing in the Big Ten West, Martinez will have to make performances like this the norm.

The Nebraska defense has regrouped nicely after giving up 30 points against Illinois. They allowed only seven points last week, and three points this past weekend. Grant it, the competition was not great at all, but that group definitely has to feel a lot more confident.

Scott Frost will need his defense to continue this play this upcoming week, as they head to Oklahoma for a matchup with the Sooners. I’m not holding my breath on that being the case.
