Penn State Football’s Offensive Line Still Needs Improvement

Sean Clifford has been sacked twice in each of Penn State Football’s first two games.

Clifford certainly holds some of the blame, as he tends to hold onto the ball too long at times, but nevertheless, this offensive line needs to clean some things up for this team to be at the next level.

The offensive line did not do a good job of run blocking in week one against Wisconsin, but that changed in Week 2 … although creating running holes against Ball State is a little different than doing it against Wisconsin or Auburn.

So, will the front five of the Nittany Lions be able to create running lanes for Noah Cain, Keyvon Lee, and company to make plays?

As we saw in the second half against Wisconsin, Penn State’s ability to run the ball is crucial, as it opens up the rest of the offense.

If this offensive line can continue to improve, and keep Sean Clifford upright and create sufficient running lanes, this offense will be successful against Auburn.
