No, Penn State Football coach James Franklin isn’t mocking you Auburn
By Chris Snyder
Auburn Football fans believe the philosophy of newly hired head coach Bryan Harsin is being mocked by James Franklin and Penn State Football
I would venture to believe anyone who is a fan of Penn State Football, or follows Penn State Football, or even knows Penn State actually has a football team knows the philosophy of head coach James Franklin.
Here are some Cliffs notes for anyone who lives outside a 600 mile radius of State College:
-Recruit, recruit, recruit
-Play hard
-Win each week
And in the world of James Franklin, winning each week means going 1-0. Here’s an example.
Notice the date on this tweet.
Yep, it’s from Sunday which means it refers to Penn State’s upcoming tilt against Auburn for the White Out this Saturday night.
Well apparently the people over at Fly War Eagle believe Byran Harsin is the first coach in the history of any sport to coin the “1-0” phrase.
But wait a minute, here’s a tweet from James Franklin just last week leading up to the Ball State game.
And here’s one prior to the Wisconsin game.
Oh, and here’s a tweet from last year.
Weird, right? I mean James Franklin must REALLY hate Harsin if he was mocking him last season too.
If James Franklin and Penn State Football are only trolling Auburn and head coach Bryan Harsin, did they really need to invest in refurbishing Beaver Stadium’s tunnel with a “1-0” banner overhanging the entrance?
Seems a tad extreme for a troll job.
Maybe I should have just written this article:
“Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin mocks James Franklin by wearing headset on sidelines while coaching”
Look, as cheesy as it seems to some fans of Penn State Football, this is the exact same mantra James Franklin brought with him when he signed the dotted line back on January 11, 2014. And it’s still the same today.
So the simple answer is “No, Auburn, James Franklin is not trying to mock you”.
