Penn State Football: These 3 Nittany Lions aim to build momentum into Auburn showdown
Penn State Football’s offensive line needs to get better each week
It was an obvious drop down in competition level going from Wisconsin to Ball State, but the offensive line was not as dominant as some may have expected or hoped against the Cardinals.
Despite not being dominant, they were bette then they were week one and it seems they found a true starting five, with Eric Wilson taking all the important snaps at left guard. Anthony Whigan got the start in week one, and split reps with Wilson, but it seems for now that is Wilson’s job.
The line surrendered three sacks to Ball State but did pave the way for 240 yards rushing and looked better from week to week. This offense will go as the offensive line goes, as Clifford is a different quarterback when he has time and can confidently step into throws and go through his reads down the field.
Auburn will bring an SEC defensive line to Happy Valley Saturday night, so the Nittany Lions offensive line will need to be up to that challenge, because that unit can wreck the game and ruin the party for Penn State Football.
