Penn State Football placekicker – Jordan Stout/Jake Pinegar

Jordan Stout won the placekicking job in training camp, after Jake Pinegar had that position the previous two seasons.

As we know, Stout did not look great in week 1 when it came to his placekicking duties. He missed one field goal and one extra point against Wisconsin, both of which were almost very costly, if it weren’t for the defense stepping up in key situations.

Stout did win Big Ten Special Team Player of the Week in week 1 for his role as a punter and kick off specialist, so maybe it would be better to let him focus on those aspects, and let Pinegar handle field goals and extra points.

We won’t know who will be handling the placekicking this week for this Penn State Football team, but whoever it is will need to do a better job, beginning with the Ball State matchup.
