Penn State Football center – Mike Miranda

This Penn State Football team struggled along the offensive line against Wisconsin, especially in the first half.

The Lions’ offense will be much more successful when they are able to run the football effectively, and they really struggled to run the ball between the tackles all afternoon in week 1, mainly due to sub-par offensive line play.

So, the interior of the offensive line will need to step up and help clear some holes for the Nittany Lions’ running backs to get to the second level, and make a play. That starts with redshirt senior, Mike Miranda, who is a third year starter up front for Penn State Football.

In previous seasons, Miranda found himself primarily playing the guard position along the offensive line, and he made the transition to center this season. Though it may take time to totally feel comfortable in his new position, the sooner the better.

Miranda has a ton of experience, so he will need to take command of the interior of the offensive line, and help set the tone for the running game.
