1-0. . Terrapins . 7. team. 824.

Maryland’s offensive capability was on full display on Saturday with a 30-24 win over West Virginia.

Taulia Tagovailoa came out slinging it, throwing for 332 yards and three touchdowns. The receiving duo of Dontay Demus Jr. and Rakim Jarrett had a day, combining for 12 catches, 255 yards and two touchdowns.

After giving up 21 points in the first half, the Terps defense adjusted well and allowed only three points in the final half of play. That side of the ball will decide just how good this Maryland team ends up being.

Tagovailoa and his receiving corps will put up some points this year, if they stop the other team from doing the same, this could be an above average team. It’s a big if, and it’s worth noting this isn’t the West Virginia offense we’ve seen in years past, but it’s a good start.

Maryland has done this before though, win a big out of conference game before falling on their face in Big Ten play.
