Penn State picked up a signature victory, toppling Wisconsin on the road to open the season, but how high do the Nittany Lions rise in our Big Ten power rankings?

The first full week of college football is in the books. Every Big Ten team has played at least one game now, giving us an idea of what these teams are all about, including learning a thing or two about Penn State Football’s character.

Penn State Football came away with a huge victory, going on the road to beat Wisconsin. While it was a big win for the Nittany Lions, they weren’t the only Big Ten team to turn heads this past week.

Here are our latest Big Ten power rankings, following Week 1, including a major move by Penn State:

810. . 1-1 (0-1). . Cornhuskers . 14. team

Nebraska was embarrassed in their “Week 0” loss at Illinois last week.

There was hope amongst Cornhusker fans that Scott Frost had finally turned the corner and had the program back on track, the loss to Illinois took some air out of that.

Nebraska did regroup nicely this past weekend, beating Fordham 52-7. Quarterback Adrian Martinez threw for 254 yards and a touchdown, while adding two scores on the ground, in the victory.

Maybe Nebraska moves past the Illinois loss and has a strong season, but considering that Illinois team is next on this list (spoiler) and is fresh off of a loss to UTSA at home, that loss for Nebraska looks even worse.
