Penn State Football travels to Madison to take on the Wisconsin Badgers to begin their 2021 season.

Obviously, Penn State Football will need their entire team to play well to knock off a top-15 team in the country on their home turf, but who are some of the main ones?

With the game being on the road in a tough environment, experienced guys that are used to playing on the big stage will be crucial. Along with playing well, these Nittany Lions will need to lead by example, and not let the moment be too big for them.

These are some of the important players that need to play well for this Penn State Football team:

Penn State Football Key Player on Offense – QB Sean Clifford

Sean Clifford should be one of the x-factors in most of Penn State Football’s ‘s matchups this season, but he really needs to get off to a good start to the season. Not only will having a good game help the Nittany Lions knock of Wisconsin, but it should help him gain confidence in himself going forward.

Clifford will certainly have to avoid turning the ball over, for a variety of reasons. Not only will a turnover give Wisconsin’s offense a short field to work with, but it will really spark the crowd at Camp Randall.

Clifford’s biggest advantage in this game will be his experience. As a leader, and third-year team captain, he will need to remain poised in a hostile environment.

If Clifford can limit mistakes and get the ball to his playmakers, this offense will have a good game, and this team will have a great shot to win this game.
