Despite being chosen in the seventh-round of the NFL Draft, former Penn State Football offensive lineman Michael Menet was cut by the Cardinals

Former Penn State Football offensive lineman Michael Menet was released by the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, among 10 roster cuts ahead of Tuesday’s deadline to trim the roster to 53 players.

Menet, despite being chosen in the seventh-round of this spring’s NFL Draft was unable to latch on with the Cardinals, but that doesn’t mean he won’t land with a team in dire need of bolstering the offensive line.

Here’s a look at three potential landing spots for former Penn State Football OL Michael Menet:

NY Giants

The NY Giants’ offensive line remains the weakest link on the roster, and a position the organization will likely go shopping for on the waiver wire in coming days.

Menet’s versatility to contribute at all three positions along the interior could make him an attractive option. Given the fact that backup center Jonotthan Harrison has battled through injuries throughout training camp, and guards Brett Heggie and Kenny Wiggins have struggled mightily at times during New York’s three preseason games could put Menet on the NY Giants’ radar.

Daniel Jones faced a near-constant barrage of pressure in the first half of Sunday night’s 22-20 loss to the New England Patriots, in his only appearance of the preseason, and if Menet can add some depth up front, perhaps the line might take a step forward.
