Miami

Miami and Penn Sate Football played 12 home and home games from 1961 to 2001, but the two haven’t met since the Hurricanes 33-7 victory in State College.

Of course, these two programs are forever connected by Penn State fans for the 1987 Fiesta Bowl, which gave the Nittany Lions their second national championship title.

Having the Hurricanes return to Happy Valley would certainty bring back fond memories for the older Penn State fans, while giving the younger fans a new, interesting matchup to look forward to.

With running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider on staff, Penn State has done a great job of recruiting Florida the past few years. Heading down to South Florida and possibly beating the Hurricanes would only increase Penn State’s success down there.

Like Texas, Miami isn’t regarded nationally as much as they once were, but they look to be on the rise again. The Hurricanes have played in many high-profile non-conference games in recent years, so why not add another to the list.
