Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines were one of the many Big Ten teams that were a disappointment last season, finishing with a 2-4 record.

Michigan faces a tough non-conference opponent week two as they welcome the Washington Huskies to Ann Arbor. Being that the Huskies have to travel a long way from home for the matchup, it should be a close game. However, that does not mean that Michigan will be able to come out on top against a team that could compete for a Pac-12 championship.

As for conference play, the Wolverines have many of their toughest opponents on the road. They have to travel to Wisconsin, to Penn State Football, and they take on in-state rival Michigan State away from home as well.

Harbaugh announced on the Big Ten Network that junior Cade McNamara will be his starting quarterback to begin the season. Harbaugh has struggled to find elite quarterback play in his time as head coach at his alma mater. Can McNamara help lead the maize and blue towards a bounce back season? He will have some help, though, along the offensive line.

Collegefootballnews.com had this to say about the Wolverines offensive line in 2020:

"The offensive line was a plus. Michigan led the Big Ten with the fewest tackles for loss allowed per game, and the pass protection was more than good enough."

Michigan returns four of five starters from that bunch. Will that be enough to help their team to a bounce back season?
