Predicting 2021 Big Ten season: How many wins for Penn State Football?
By Nick Kreiser
Wisconsin will look to return to the top of the Big Ten West this season. They will be lead by quarterback Graham Mertz.
Collegefootballnews.com points out that Mertz will have three of five starters back along the offensive line and also all of his top pass catchers from a season ago. They also mentioned that despite a sub-par running game last year, Wisconsin was still the best in the Big Ten in terms of time of possession.
The toughest matchup on Wisconsin’s schedule is undoubtedly their matchup against Notre Dame at Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. There are a few matchups that will certainly test the Badgers; vs Penn State, vs Iowa, and at Minnesota. However, the Badgers will probably be favored in all three of those games.
Wisconsin is lucky to have not drawn Ohio State this season in a divisional crossover game, however there is a good chance they see each other in Indianapolis in the Big Ten Championship game. Is this the year the Badgers can finally knock off the Buckeyes and put themselves in position for selection into the College Football Playoff?
