Penn State football landed yet another commit in July, with 4-star cornerback Cam Miller committing to the Nittany Lions Monday afternoon.

Miller announced his decision on CBS Sports HQ. Virginia Tech was the other finalist in his recruitment.

The Florida prospect is rated as the 30th best corner in the country and the 281st overall recruit in the composite. 247 Sports is higher on Miller, ranking him as the 22nd ranked corner and 153rd best player in the nation.

Listed at 6-foot and 180 pounds, Miller has quality size for a cornerback. Cornerbacks coach Terry Smith has to feel good about landing Miller, considering how fluid the corner board has been over the past few months.

Not too long ago, it looked like Penn State’s cornerback haul would be Jayden Bellamy and Keenan Nelson Jr. Bellamy  is now committed to Notre Dame and Nelson picked South Carolina and is now listed as a safety.

Penn State will move forward with Miller and Jordan Allen as the corners in their 2022 class. A haul that no one should complain about.

Miller’s commitment continues Penn State’s incredible hot streak on the recruiting trail since the start of July. He is the tenth 2022 recruit to commit to the Nittany Lions in the month. Top 2023 offensive target, Alex Birchmeier, also committed earlier this month.

Penn State now has 22 commits in the 2022 class, which holds firm at No. 2 in the national rankings.

Smith and safeties coach Anthony Poindexter may not be done improving the secondary this week, as 4-star athlete Cristian Driver and 3-star safety Kevin Winston are both scheduled to announce their college choice before week’s end.

Miller’s size and athleticism should excite Penn State fans, as he has a chance to be a future star and could find himself starting alongside 2021 signee Kalen King in a couple years.
