Wide Receiver

Taylor Stubblefield has done a fantastic job on the recruiting trail in the 2022 class.

The second-year wide receivers coach has commitments from 4-stars Kaden Saunders and Anthony Ivey, along with speedy 3-star Tyler Johnson. Penn State also has 4-star athlete Mehki Flowers committed, it’s not clear if he will end up at receiver or safety yet.

With that being said, Stubblefield still has a chance to add even more to this impressive haul.

Cristian Driver, the son of Former Green Bay Packers star Donald Driver, is a 4-star athlete from Texas that is expected to announce his decision of July 29. He, like Flowers, could end up at either safety or receiver. It’s likely that if both Flowers and Driver ended up at Penn State, they may not know what position they are playing until Fall camp next year.

There is one target that is no doubt a receiver, Darrius Clemons. The 4-star from Oregon has a top group of Penn State, Oregon and Auburn.

Clemons is good friends with Saunders and took an official to Penn State Football back in June. It may be a tough pull from Oregon, but the Nittany Lions remain in the mix.

Even if Penn State Football recruiting is tight on space when Clemons decides, if he wants in, Franklin will find a way to get him in.
