Alyssa was a first-team All American in both 2007 and 2008 for the Nittany Lions and was named Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year in 2007.

Naher has played on the senior US Women’s circuit since 2013 and has been the starting goalie since 2016.  Naher was the starting goalie for the 2019 World Cup Champion United States team.

How to follow:  Team USA stumbled out of the starting block with a 3-0 loss to Sweeden to open pool play in an Olympic game played prior to the Opening Ceremonies.  USA will continue in Group G play vs New Zealand Saturday July 24th at 7:30 am and concludes Tuesday July 27th vs Australia at 4:00 am.  USA will likely need at least a draw Saturday to stay alive for knockout stage contention.
