Joe Kovacs and Michael Shuey (Track & Field)

Perhaps the most decorated of the Penn State Olympians, Joe won the silver medal for Shot Put in the 2016 Rio games and has two golds and another silver in the last three World Championships.

The Energy, Business and Finance major originally from the Lehigh Valley has been featured on the Olympic Channel in a commerical with his wife (and coach).

Shuey graduated Penn State in 2016 after winning two Big Ten Championships and will be throwing Javelin for Team USA

How to follow:  Joe’s first throw will be on Tuesday August 3rd at either 6:15 or 7:40 am, depending on which pool he is placed in.  Michael’s first throw will occur on Monday August 2nd at either 8:20 pm or 9:50 pm.
