. . Cornhuskers . 9. team. 810.

2021 Stats

Rank: 12
Dual Meet Record: 7-1

NCAA Champions: 0

All-Americans: 2
141 – Chad Red (6th)
174 – Mikey Labriola (3rd)

2021 Recruiting
Rank: 8
Recruits: 5
Top 100 Recruits: 2
No. 11 Lenny Pinto (proj – 184)
No. 13 Jagger Condomitti (proj – 165)

Snagging two top 15 recruits in the 2021 recruiting cycle was a huge get for Big Red, however neither Pinto or Condomitti will factor into why I have the Cornhuskers as the No. 9 seed.

Both PA youngsters are planning on spending a gap year at the Olympic Training Center which means neither will set foot in in Lincoln until the fall of 2022.

The main reason I have Nebraska as the ninth-best team in the country simply comes down to experience. They have five top-16 grapplers returning for their super senior season as Liam Cronin (125), Chad Red (141), Taylor Venz (184), Eric Schultz (197), and Christian Lance (285) are all likely to return to run it back one more time.

Both Mikey Labriola and Eric Schultz are legitimate NCAA title contenders and something tells me Schultz would love to wash his disappointing 11th place finish from last year out of his mouth.

Nebraska could be a very dangerous team next year and it’s possible they could end up being in the top 5.
