Starting shooting guard: Jalen Pickett

It’s possible Jalen Pickett is the Nittany Lions’ only shooting guard on the roster, so this one is pretty easy.

With Sessoms playing more the point guard and Lundy and Dread playing small forward, Jalen Pickett is pretty easy to slot in here.

This was definitely Shrewsberry’s best pick-up as he was listed as a ‘top-25 transfer’.  His numbers were down from his freshman year campaign Siena (15.8 points, 4.6 points, 6.7 assists) last year but he still won the MAAC Player of the Year in 2020.

At 6’4″, he checks in a little taller than Cornwall, thus slotting him at the “2” (shooting guard) instead of the “1” (point guard) but likely Pickett and Cornwall can each play either position.
