Penn State Football linebacker Micah Parsons is expected to be one of the first players chosen in the first-round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but it was his young son who showed out on the event’s red carpet.

Parsons’ four-year old son, Malcolm, accompanied his father in Cleveland prior to the NFL Draft getting underway on Thursday night, and was dressed to the nines suit befitting the occasion.

A former five-star defensive end recruit from Harrisburg High School, prior to arriving in Happy Valley in 2018, Parsons says he wasn’t much older than Malcolm when he realized his dream was to make the NFL.

"“First person I’ll hug is my Mom,” Parsons said on the red carpet. “Since I was four years old, I told her that ‘I didn’t want to live like this,’ and I was going to go to the NFL. I know she’s going to be the person smiling the most, I can’t wait to embrace it, but he’s all going to be worth it. Her and My Dad. They’re the ones who got me there.”"

Now, Parsons’ NFL dreams are about to come true. The All American inside linebacker is projected to possibly be a top-10 selection.

Someday, he says, Malcolm will follow in his footsteps.

“Future first-round draft pick right here,” Parsons said of Malcolm. “He’s going to be better than me.”
