Emmanuel Dowuona – Purdue

Another target, another big man.

Can you tell this is a huge position of need for the 2021-2022 Nittany Lions?

Emmanuel Dowuona was initially recruited to Purdue by now PSU HC Micah Shrewsberry.  He didn’t do much last year (1.3 points and .9 rebounds per game) but he was playing behind standout F/C Travion Williams and freshman phenom Zach Edey at Purdue.

Why does he fit:

Shrewsberry already has a relationship with Emmanuel, and it’s very likely that Dowuona won’t move up the Purdue depth chart even if Travion Williams goes pro thanks to Edey’s presence.  Both he and Tsimbila are raw but could hopefully grow together and push one another in the off-season and both will see an increase in minutes next year.
