2. Marcus Allen (Safety)

Outside of Micah Parsons, who was a 5-star, has there been a more exciting defensive player under Franklin than Marcus Allen?

From 2014 to 2017, Allen recorded 320 tackles, with 17 being for loss, three sacks five forced fumbles and an interception. He also blocked that certain field goal we talked about earlier.

Not only he productive, but he was exciting and a leader. His swagger was infectious to that locker room an his energy played a role in the 2016 and 2017 teams.

Allen has two of the most memorable plays in Penn State, the blocked field goal and his safety against Pitt. I think both of those plays are framed in just about every Penn State fan’s house.

He is now with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
