Amani Oruwariye was one of the unsung heroes of Penn State Football’s run.

Appearing in 38 games during his time at Penn State, Oruwariye collected 106 tackles and eight interceptions.

His break-out season occurred in 2017, when  filled in for the injured John Reid, who was lost for the season with an ACL injury. He had four interceptions that year. His ability to fill in and not skip a beat was a big reason why the Nittany Lions went 11-2.

He is probably best known for his game winning interception against Appalachian State in 2018.

Oruwariye now plays for the Detroit Lions.
