#45 — Jacksonville Jaguars selected Pat Friermuth (TE, Penn State)

Why it fits:

Jacksonville has two tight ends on their roster currently, James O’Shaughnessy and Tyler Davis (not the former PSU kicker).

O’Shaughnessy caught 28 balls last year for 262 yards, but no touchdowns. Tyler Davis had zero catches period.  Clearly this is a position of need and if Friermuth is healthy, he should see a ton of targets in his inagural season in the NFL.

Why it doesn’t fit:

Who’s going to throw Pat the ball?!?  Sure, there’s nothing more fun than the “Stache” (Gardner Minshew II) but with he and Jake Luton on the roster, are we sure Pat would want to go here?

We’re kidding. Call it a belated April fools.

Freiermuth catching passes from Trevor Lawrence and as one of the Jaguars’ primary weapons in the passing game might might this one of the best fits in the draft.
