Northwestern Wildcats

Northwestern won the Big Ten West last season for the second time in three season’s and gave Ohio State all they could handle in the conference championship game.

The Wildcats were a beneficiary of some turnover luck last season, but face a rather easy schedule next fall which should keep them alive in the west. Crossover games with Michigan State, Rutgers and Michigan are favorable.

The schedule lays out nicely over the first eight games however the final four games of the season will tell the story. Matchups with Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin in November can either send Northwestern back to Indianapolis or potentially not even bowl eligible.

Prediction: 8-4
