Penn State Football’s seven NFL Draft-eligible players will get their chance to make their sales pitch to coaches, scouts, and executives from teams around the league Thursday at the program’s pro day showcase.

Six former Nittany Lions will get their chance to go through on-field testing; linebackers Micah Parsons and Jayson Oweh, edge rusher Shaka Toney, safety Lamont Wade, tight end Pat Freiermuth, offensive lineman Michael Menet and make their case to be drafted next month.

Here’s a look at three things to watch during Penn State Football’s pro day, including a potential clue on All-American linebacker Micah Parsons’ potential destination:

1) Can Jayson Oweh run his way into the top-15 picks?

Jayson Oweh has been one of the biggest risers during this pre-draft season.

Some recent NFL Mock Draft projections even have Oweh going off the board as high as a top-15 selection, which is quite remarkable given that Oweh hasn’t had the benefit of an NFL Combine, which was canceled due to COVID-19.

Despite his lack of production in 2020, failing to produce a sack, there are several teams across the league that are enamored by his athleticism.

Recently, Oweh ran the 40-yard dash in a laser-timed 4.38 seconds. If he comes close to touching that time on the stopwatches of scouts and coaches in attendance, the talk about him getting picked in the top-15 might come to fruition.
