141

(1) Jaydin Eierman (IOWA) 8-0
(2) Nick Lee (PSU) 8-1
(3) Sebastian Rivera (RUT) 8-1
(4) Tariq Wilson (NCST) 9-0

Past Matchups

03/06/21 Eierman dec. Lee, 6-5
06/06/21 Lee SV1 Rivera, 8-6
03/15/18 Eierman maj. dec. Lee, 12-4

Here we have the most accomplished NCAA tournament experience and results with the group of top 4 wrestlers at 141.

Eierman finished 5th, 4th, and 3rd in the 2017-2019 NCAA’s and Lee finished in 5th place in both the 2018 and 2019 NCAA’s. Sebass grabbed 6th place and 3rd place at 125 in the 2018 and 2019 NCAA’s while Wilson finished 3rd and round of 12 in the 2018 and 2019 NCAA’s at 133.

There’s a tremendous amount of experience and skill in these four wrestlers. B1G fans were lucky enough to see the trio of Rivera, Lee, and Eierman go at it in the B1G Championships a little less than two weeks ago.

In perhaps the match of the tournament, Penn State’s Nick Lee won a thrilling semi-final match against Sebastian Rivera 8-6 in sudden victory. Then the Nittany Lion faithful were greeted with four minutes of excellent wrestling and three minutes of Jaydin Eierman running away from Lee like he was a giant murder hornet.

And look, until someone can topple the

bowling giant Ernie McCracken

Iowa grappler nicknamed “The Riddler”, he’s going to be the favorite.

Sleeper: (5) Dom Demas (OU) 12-1

Once again I’m going deep into the seeds of the 141 bracket to pull out the wrestler who missed the top 4 spots by 1. It’s a bold move, I know.

Demas wrestles in the competitive Big 12 conference, which outside of the B1G is one of the best conferences in the nation. He also just recently got over the “Ian Parker Hump” in the Big 12 Championships back in early March winning in TB2 4-3 to stop his two match slide to Parker.

Demas has also faired well in the NCAA’s as he took home a 4th place finish back in 2019. In that year’s tournament he beat Nick Lee 13-9 and narrowly lost to Jaydin Eierman in the 3rd place match 2-0.
