9. Purdue Boilermakers

Purdue is known as a more offensive force under head coach Jeff Brohm but has slowly started to improve on the defensive side of the ball.

Last season the Boilermakers allowed 29.8 points per game which is a small improvement over the 2019 season, and with a young defense Purdue should be even better next fall.

The Boilermakers are led by two young sophomores on that side of the ball, cornerback Cam Allen who led the team with two interceptions and defensive end George Karlaftis who led the team with two sacks.

Karlaftis is a former highly touted recruit who could be a an early round NFL pick at some point and has the potential to be an All-Big Ten type of player in 2021.
