133 – Roman Bravo-Young – Jr.

Record: 3-0
Place: 1st

Grade: A+

Wins
No. 8 Jacob Rundell (PUR), 9-3 dec.
No. 4 Chris Cannon (NU), 8-3 dec.
No. 2 Austin DeSanto (IOWA), 5-2 dec.

Roman Bravo-Young earned an easy A+, as he used his fancy footwork to navigate his way through the 133 B1G field to win his first individual title.

Looking at his body of work in the three B1G matches he wrestled, it was a workman-like performance from Roman.

Outside of his insane ability to explode from a relaxed stance and attack opponents at will, Roman largely chose a more conservative approach in his B1G matches. But at this level a win is a win.

I’m sure the Penn State Wrestling faithful are excited for RBY’s 1st B1G crown, and for what lies ahead in the NCAA’s.

Let’s keep the grade-train rolling and look at the next Nittany wrestler who made the B1G finals!
