With Penn State announcing (or re-announcing) their first 2021-2022 recruit in Elijah Hutchins-Everett, we wondered if that was a slight tipping of AD Sandy Barbour’s hand as to who the Lions’ next head coach will be?

Who could recruit to Penn State now, except interim HC Jim Ferry?

Monday night, Sandy Barbour stated that she will be naming the head coach right after the season ends.

That doesn’t speak to a lot of courtship or interviews post-season, so she clearly has her mind made up.

Does that lean even a bit further towards Jim Ferry retaining the job? Or is there a contract lined up with another coach that will be signed right after theirs or Penn State’s seasons end?

We shall see, as PSU has numerous interesting candidates, but things are heating up!
