1. He Can Help Strike More Blows to Notre Dame

Losing Allar to the Nittany Lions was a big loss for Notre Dame, but now Allar can help bring more damage to Notre Dame’s 2022 class.

The Irish are after fellow Ohioan and Penn State commit, 4-star wide receiver Kaden Saunders. With a highly ranked quarterback like Allar  on his side, Saunders may be even more inclined to stay with the Nittany Lions.

The two schools are also in the mix for 4-star running back Nicholas Singleton out of Reading, Pa. Although they are not the only ones involved in the recruitment, the two are among the leaders for him.

Quarterbacks don’t have the same pull with running backs that they could have with receivers or tight ends, but the thought of playing in a high-powered offense could help sway Singleton.

It’s not out of the question to see a quarterback be able to have pull on a recruit regardless of position. In 2021, 5-star quarterback Caleb Williams played a role in 4-star defensive tackle Kelvin Gilliam heading to Oklahoma, with the Nittany Lions finishing second in the recruitment.

The hope is that they’ll be on the other side of those situations now.
