Penn State Basketball overcomes 16-point deficit, topples Maryland

Penn State Basketball
Crews complete construction of a basketball court on the south end of Lucas Oil Stadium on Thursday, March 4, 2021, in Indianapolis. The court will be used for NCAA Big Ten games and then changed over for March Madness tournament games. What’s next: B1G Tournament

This was a weird game.  Every time the Lions made a run, Maryland would respond.

Penn State Basketball could never get it tied but Maryland could never quite put us away.  So many times I said “they’re playing horrible but we’re only down 5, only down 6, etc … ‘

But, when the Lions finally got on top, they weren’t gonna let go.

Weird game between two similar teams, neither very offensively talented. The late Penn State Basketball push was the difference.  What a fun way to end the regular season!

Coach Ferry did say “this team has one last run in them…”

Penn State Basketball travels to the Big Ten Tournament to face off familiar foe, the Nebraska Cornhuskers.  Penn State lost at home vs Nebraska but won in Lincoln.  Penn State is the #11 seed and their game will start approximately 25 minutes after the 6:30 game (Minnesota vs Northwestern).  The Lions will need to win the tournament to go dancing so let’s win 5 straight.  That’s called #climbing.
