Bold Prediction No. 4

157 No. 8 Brady Berge makes the finals

Whoa. Now we’re getting serious as this is truly a BOLD statement.

This is Berge’s Junior season at Penn State and Nittany Lion fans have yet to see anything close to his absolute best. Which is understandable as Brady suffered a head injury at the U23 World Championships in October 2019, thus derailing his entire 2019-2020 season.

Part of this prediction hinges on the B1G not being particularly strong at 157, outside of Northwestern’s No. 1 Ryan Deakin. But I still think if Berge is fully healthy and confident in his abilities he can still take down Deakin.

Because for my prediction to come true he will most likely have to do it before the finals. I’m guessing Berge will be slotted either 4 or 5 in the seeding and this puts him on the No. 1 wrestler’s side of the bracket. If he slips down to No. 6, I won’t be complaining one bit as this would put him on the No. 2 wrestler’s side.

In any case, I feel Berge should look to be aggressive early and often in his first couple of matches. Get his feet under him, be confident in your shots, harness in the good energy, and block out the bad. Harness. Energy. Block. Bad. Feel the flow, Brady.
