Rutgers just can’t catch a break.

The Scarlet Knights lost three heartbreaking duals earlier in the season against Ohio State (14-19), Purdue (15-18), and Minnesota (18-21). And now, with the cancellation of last Friday’s (2/19) scheduled dual meet against Maryland, the Rutgers squad haven’t seen any mat time since January 31st.

Even though they were winless on the season, the one-two punch of Alvarez and Rivera at 133 and 141 is the reason I have Rutgers ahead of Michigan State and Wisconsin. I think both guys can make a deep run at the B1G’s which puts them a slot above both programs.
