Penn State Basketball aims to upset Iowa Sunday, as back home in Happy Valley students raise money during THON for pediatric cancer research

Penn State Basketball travels to Carver Hawkeye Arena to take on #11 Iowa at 5:00 pm Sunday.

But, before we get to the tale of the tape, let’s talk about what’s most important this weekend.  The Penn State Dance Marathon is the world’s largest student run philanthropic effort, having raised over $180 million dollars since it’s inception.  Penn State students stand for 46 hours to raise funds for pediatric cancer research.

The 2021 THON ends at 4:00 pm today, when the final donation amount is revealed.

Last year, THON raised $11,696.943.38!  Never heard of THON? Check out the livestream!

And, if you are able, please consider donating.

Many companies do match donations to even further the impact of your donation. And you will receive a receipt via e-mail for your tax donation purposes.  While this is the first year THON is virtual due to COVID-19, let’s help this amazing effort. FTK — For the Kids!
