1) Cleveland Browns

Oweh’s athleticism and ability to generate consistent pressure off the edge, has to be tantalizing for the Cleveland Browns who have the opportunity to pair him opposite All-Pro Myles Garrett.

Olivier Vernon is the only Browns defensive lineman other than Garrett to come close to double-digit sacks, producing nine before tearing his Achilles tendon with five minutes remaining in the regular season finale. Vernon is also set to be a free agent, which could make Oweh a plug-and-play starter at defensive end.

While Oweh did not produce a sack in his final season in Happy Valley, his athleticism is going to push him up draft boards. It remains to be seen if he will maintain his speed and explosiveness if asked to put on 15-20 pounds during an NFL conditioning program, but the Browns have enough talent in their front-seven to allow Oweh to develop. Cleveland also could weaponize Oweh as a pass-rushing outside linebacker as well as having him put his hand on the dirt.

Given Oweh can play linebacker or defensive end, and the Browns have the foundation of a dominant front seven, there might not be a better fit for Oweh or for the Browns than the former Nittany Lion. If he’s still on the board, keep an eye on Oweh when the Browns go on the clock with the No. 26 pick.
